Character Information
Name: Iramaat
Canon: Original
Canon Point: N/A
Age: Several centuries.
History:
*Created or "born" from the aether and stuff of dreams and fae energy a few centuries ago. Iramaat does not really remember of conceive of herself as ever having a childhood. She came out fully-formed, although it took her time to settle down into herself and really define who she was and what role she wanted to play.
*She spent a hundred or so years (as humans reckon it, anyway) in the service of the Spring Court, an association of Fair Folk (complete with king and queen), participating in the endless schemes and stories they make with each other and occasionally interacting with mortals. During this time of her life, she met, wooed, and broke the heart of another young courtier named Tiame, whom she ultimately tricked into swearing an oath of eternal vengeance, as Iramaat believed she need a "villain" for her story.
*After a time, Iramaat decided to step out into the wider world, beyound the boundaries of her woods and her people. She has spent much of her life since wandering the wide world and interacting with humans, who she finds absolutely fascinating and interesting. Her only caveat is that they're horrendously short-lived and that they tend to be very angry about things that she brushes off as inconsequential. She believes herself to be a heroine and a knight errant and acts as such, even if her interference can often cause problems for the people she claims to be helping.
*She has more recently spent time traveling with an enchanted/fae cat named Nox, who is also something of a wizard. They have shared, for her, a rather close relationship, although it is mostly something very friendly. She has, of late, been growing tired of traveling in his company, however, and will likely be seeking a way to move on from him and strike out on her own again. It's what she does, after all.
Personality:
At first glance, Iramaat is courteous, full of courtly manners and airs, rather polite, heroic, and dedicated to the ideas of knightly virtues. She will fight for the oppressed, offer her sword for an impossible quest, and quite happily go running into danger with all the courage that one might expect of a classic storybook heroine who is out to right wrongs and vanquish evil. She also acts like one in many ways, going so far as to love and feel very deeply about the people she encounters. She is quite pleasant to be around (in small doses) or if one keeps her at arm's length, as she has a tendency to be overbearing and sweep all before her with the force of her own personality.
This is, however, ultimately little more than a facade - one that she herself seems to believe wholeheartedly in, of course, but ultimately a facade. While she is courteous and polite and charming to fault, she is also given to being manipulative, self-centered, and even vain at times. She tends to make herself the center of attention and seeks self-aggrandizement and tends to interact with the world in terms of what she thinks will make the "best story" for her and the one that will ultimately lead to her coming out the other side as the said storybook heroine. She will also quite happily exploit people for her own gain by liberally misinterpreting the things they say to her best advantage or outright tricking them into saying and doing what she wants - often by winning their confidence and then abusing their trust. She will gaslight people, denying that she said or did things that she has, in fact, done or by reinterpreting past events with a completely straight face.
She never tells an outright lie (which she can't actually do), but she will bend and shape the truth as far as she can without outright breaking it. Similarly, she will often flirt or woo people she finds attractive (or useful) and use their affection for her as a stepping stone or as a diversion until she becomes bored with her playmate or paramour and abruptly moves on (or dropping them into a situation that will ultimately help her). That is not to say she is incapable of genuine love and affection - she is. She just very rarely finds and it is even rarer that she recognizes it for what it is or that she can manage to put aside her narcissism to truly appreciate it once the initial shine has worn off and she realizes she has to actually put work into a relationship. It also has to do with her viewpoint of the world - everyone around her is her supporting cast and if the heroine needs a lover or a close friend, she'll find one and she will genuinely care - but all people eventually leave her story when she is ready for them to and not when they might be and so she tends to burn even those bridges which might otherwise last.
Iramaat is also capable of holding grudges over the smallest and pettiest of matters. She is quite long-lived (as far as she knows, she can't actually die of old age) and will absolutely pay someone back for something they did that upset her years and years ago, even if neither of them might actually remember what caused the offense in the first place.
Despite all of these rather unfortunate aspects of her personality, Iramaat tends to retain a sunny, happy, charming disposition at all times, never quite letting that smile slip from her face (unless it's dramatically appropriate of course; she's quite capable of turning on the water-works if she thinks tears will help more than smiles). It is very rare that she becomes visibly angry, but when she does she is all wrath and hatred, a swirling chaotic whirlwind of emotion that leaves destruction in its wake.
Iramaat is not, ultimately, a coward. She will absolutely stand up in a fight and bring her best and be as courageous as a lion. She just has a tendency to choose her fights very carefully and to only do so when she thinks it will win her acclaim or further her own mysterious agenda.
The tragedy of Iramaat is that she is absolutely capable of becoming better. She just refuses to because her own power and ability and her manipulation of people usually allows her to skate free without consequences (or at least free of more permanent consequences).
Abilities & Skills:
Iramaat is a fae and has a number of powers that come naturally to her because of that. She does not normally age nor does she technically require food or drink, being mainly a creature of magic and dreams. She can be harmed or killed, however, especially by "cold iron". While in her own realm, however, death and injury were impermanent and she would (eventually) find her form again. This, obviously, will not be true in Aefenglom, as she is outside of the world that grants her that ability to bounce back from injury and death
Her fae heritage and lineage also gave her the ability to move between the two planes of existence that she inhabited - the mortal realm and the realm of the fae. This could be done simply by walking through an available door or other mundane portal as necessary (mirrors could also be used). This will likewise not function or be effective in Aefenglom.
She is also able to lay powerful curses and hexes on people who make agreements with her and then break those agreements; these can range from simple things, such as bad luck, to other afflictions, such as disease, bodily pain, or even being compelled to obey. The agreement need not be written down or formalized; all one has to do is make a pledge, promise, oath, or agreement by one's own free will. She cannot force people to make enforceable agreements (although trickery is absolutely allowed). However, by the same token, she must uphold her end of the bargain or by struck by her own misfortune, pain, or other affliction. To break a deal she has struck is to come as close as anything else to unraveling her and striking her from existence. She is also incapable of directly lying and must use half-truths, lies by omission, and wordplay to disguise her intent. This will likely continue in Aefenglom out of habit than because of hany natural inability, since that power will likely be stripped from her.
She also possesses the supernatural ability to charm mortals (or others) with her voice and by holding their gaze, although it was something she rarely felt the need to use, since she relied much more on her own natural charisma and charm to get by with people. It is much easier to manipulate people who genuinely believe you, after all, and who won't snap back to their senses and wonder why they've been so agreeable.
Iramaat possesses a natural degree of control and commune over nature, possessing the ability to control nearby plants, call on vines to trap her enemies, or to otherwise compel plants to do her bidding or speak to them to find out what they might know. This is limited to very close ranges (within a few yards at most) and she must generally speak aloud to do so.
Beyond the magical nature of her being, Iramaat is a skilled swordswoman and adventurer, physically fit, and skilled in all manner of physical activities, including dancing, sword-fighting, hand-to-hand combat, climbing, and acrobatics. This has always come naturally to her and while not superhuman, she is generally at the peak level of human ability in most of those categories. She is also rather charismatic and has a wide knowledge of etiquette and high society (or at least her own version of high society, anyway). She is also rather skilled with the flute. Iramaat is also at home in the wilds and woodlands, being a skilled tracker and hunter and able to survive on her own (well, would be able to, if she needed to eat), as well as relatively stealthy.
Inventory/Companions:
Sword, dagger, utility knife, traveling clothes, a locket in the shape of a golden apple that contains a lock of white hair.
Choice:
Faun
Reason:
Iramaat is already a creature of the woods and of the natural spaces (as well as being rather attuned to nature in general) and has herself a pair of horns (although they appear to be wood rather than any natural horn material). She is very nearly a faun or satyr already. The faun is simply an extension of that. It will not challenge her; rather, for her, the challenge will be the game setting itself, since she will be stripped of most of her natural magical abilities and talents and she'll find herself having to rely on others and finding that she can't rely on simply being able to escape back into her fae homeland when things get a bit too hot.
Maybe she'll actually learn something along the way.

Written Description.
Iramaat is a fae creature. Like others of her heritage, she looks young perhaps in her mid- or late twenties. However, there's no indication as to her actual age, which is really anyone's guess, considering the ageless nature of fae or eleves. Her features are angular, with a slightly pointed chin, long nose and high cheek-bones. Her ears are slightly elongated and end in triangular points. Her eyes are a light blue, almost a pale grey, and regard the world with a look of cool, amused interest. Her hair is a shade of blondish red and is kept cropped short, falling just past her chin in a rather disorganized pixie cut. Further adding to her slightly alien appearance, a pair of small horns sprout from her head and curve back to end in points. On closer inspection, they seem to be made of wood and seem to have elegant patterns carved into them.
Her body is slender, athletic and rather androgynous. It's actually a little difficult to tell (at a glance) what gender she is, although closer inspection reveals that she's more feminine than not. Her arms are equally slender, although they seem to hold a wiry strength, and end in hands with long, dexterous fingers.
Her clothing is rather simple: a pair of black trousers, which are tucked into a pair of black leather boots. Above the waist she wears an moss-green, long-sleeved linen shirt, over which is belted (and buttoned) a brown-green surcoat of padded cloth and leather, which covers her from elbow to neck to knee. She wears a broad leather belt at her waist, which gives the surcoat something of a flare. The belt is adorned with a few small pouches and other knick-nacks that look like they might come in handy. She seems to be scorning jewelry for the moment, aside from a simple chain and pendant, which is usually tucked into her tunic. A thin, elegant-looking rapier is belted on her right hip.
